Rhonda A (Pertuso) LoBuono RN, age 58, of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021, with her cherished dog Charlie by her side. Rhonda was a long time Registered Nurse and, while she spent over 30+ years in various positions related to kidney dialysis, she spent the last 11+ years as the Home Training Coordinator with the Dialysis Center of East Providence. She was very caring and loved by all of her patients.
Several months ago, Rhonda rescued her sweet dog Charlie, a chocolate lab/pointer mix, but we believe that Charlie rescued her. She loved spending time with him cuddled up on the couch or out taking a walk, and she spoiled him every chance she could get!
Rhonda also loved to travel, having visited Hawaii and Italy on past trips, and she was planning to travel to Alaska with her sister once it was safer to travel.
Rhonda especially loved her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to her beautiful daughter Stephanie, whom she spent time with every day, whether it be just hanging out together or out and about. They shared a love of music and would often sing along to their favorite songs. Rhonda also loved spending time with her brother, sister, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and all of her extended family and close friends. She loved attending the many get-togethers with her cousins on both sides of the family. She touched so many lives and all will miss her tremendously.
Rhonda leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie Deady of North Providence, RI; her brother Steven Pertuso and his wife Diane of Johnston, RI; her sister Linda Zawislak of Coventry RI; her nephews David Harper of Coventry RI, and Scott Pertuso of Sun City AZ; her niece Pamela Harper of Coventry RI; and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 4-7pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. Please note that masks are required. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation (or a charity of your choice) in Rhonda’s name would be greatly appreciated.
